SLV/BCE 5th Grade Band

BCE will start Tuesday Sept 3rd. SLE will start Thursday Sept. 5th.

Band runs from 3pm-4:30pm.

September doesn't have any funky stuff on the calendar so we'll meet each Tuesday and Thursday of next month.

If your student has their instrument already, have them bring it with them to school. They can drop it off in the music room the morning of band days. Make sure that your student also has our band book which is called The Standard of Excellence Book 1 (for their instrument). For example, Standard of Excellence Book 1 Flute.

As your student embarks on this journey of learning something new, know that they will not sound good. Providing them with a safe space to play, encouraging them to play, and reminding them they will get better is critical to their success. Lastly, for those of you with students with louder instruments, I would encourage you to purchase a mute for your kiddos.
